The Maharashtra Tourism Policy 2024 is a landmark initiative by the Government of Maharashtra to boost tourism infrastructure and create world-class facilities across the state. The policy offers 23 fiscal incentives and 13 non-fiscal benefits to attract investments in hotels, resorts, adventure tourism, eco-tourism, and heritage projects.

With a focus on sustainable development and job creation, the policy provides financial support through capital subsidies, tax exemptions, and interest subsidies. Projects in aspirational districts and rural areas receive additional benefits to promote balanced regional development.

The policy is valid until 2029 and covers both new projects and expansion of existing facilities meeting the prescribed investment thresholds.
